FAQ

What is PUR hot melt?

Polyurethane reactive (PUR) hot melt is applied molten, like a conventional hot melt, then moisture-cures into a cross-linked thermoset. That is why it holds heat, cold, and hard-to-bond skins better than EVA. PurLam supplies HMPUR and liquid PU; we also laminate panels with the same chemistry.

Is there a minimum order on panels?

No. Prototype one panel or run thousands. Oversize capacity is 108" wide by 35–40' long, with one continuous face on oversize sheets.

Are the adhesives and panels made in the USA?

Yes. Adhesive is reacted and panels are laminated at Eco-Pur in Romeoville, Illinois. Specified and sold with Cattie Adhesives in Quakertown, Pennsylvania.

Can you custom-formulate a PUR?

Yes. Named Cattie HMPUR grades are on the adhesives page; Eco-Pur 12-3000 is the partner-plant grade. Match by TDS, SDS, or the substrates and open time you already run. Toll 10–10,000 lb. Use the quote form and pick PUR adhesive, liquid PU, or toll batch.
